Sealants
A sealant is a white material which is placed in grooves of chewing surfaces of
back teeth. Some patients have teeth with characteristically deep grooves that
are difficult to clean. Plaque tends to accumulate in these grooves potentially
causing cavities. Sealants are used to cover grooves and prevent plaque
accumulation in grooves therefore lowering chances of cavity formation on
biting surfaces of teeth.
Mouthguards
A mouthguard is a custom-made appliance which is worn during sports activities.
Mouthguards prevent teeth from potential trauma caused by athletics.
Mouthguards are fabricated by a dental laboratory. Mouthguards are essential in
keeping teeth free of trauma.

Periodontal Maintenance
The maintenance of your periodontal health is the key to keeping a healthy
smile for a lifetime. In some cases, patients need more than just six month
check up and cleaning. These patients have had periodontal surgery or had
deeper than normal periodontal pockets. In these cases patients are seen on 3
to 4 month schedules depending on their individual needs and doctor
recommendations.

Single Tooth Anesthesia System (STA)
Single Tooth Anesthesia System has various uses. It can be used for patients who have difficulty getting numb or staying numb. It can also be used for children. STA works well for patients who have dental phobia. The beauty of STA system is that it anesthetizes a single tooth within a few minutes. When using the STA system the patient does not get numbness of the lip therefore after procedure patients do not have to worry about side effects of anesthesia. STA system deposits anesthetic just around the tooth to be treated, therefore it does enter the blood stream. For more information about the STA system you can visit www.milestonescientific.com/dental.html
Intraoral camera
An intraoral camera is a size of a pen, so it fits easily into your mouth. Once
positioned it sends pictures to our computer system where your teeth and gums
appear in full color large enough for you to see on a monitor. Dentist then can
show you the treatment that was recommended and you can see it with your own eyes. We use intramural camera to show you the problem areas so that you are fully aware of recommended treatment.
